State 38 Distilling 3rd Annual Colorado Day Whiskey Release
(Golden, CO) July 17, 2023 - State 38 Distilling is so excited to release our 3rd Annual Colorado Day Whiskey. State 38 Distilling is a Golden, CO based distillery named after Colorado - the 38th state. The launch of our 3rd Annual Colorado Day Whiskey, is a special straight Bourbon Whiskey finished in a Port wine barrel. The limited-edition bottle label was designed by Golden-based artist Jesse Crock, known for his vibrant and picturesque Colorado landscapes.
“We continue to be so proud of the state we live in and are honored to continue partnering with local Colorado businesses to bring our 3rd Annual Colorado Day Whiskey to life,” said owner and managing partner, Don Hammond. The 2023 Colorado Day Straight Bourbon Whiskey was finished in a Port wine barrel from Balistreri Vineyards right here in Denver, CO. The label was once again designed and created by Jesse Crock, a Golden, CO based artist.
The 2023 Colorado Day Whiskey has a nose that provides aromas of sweet fig, plum and caramel. Your first taste erupts into a complexity of flavors including raisin, caramel, and soft cinnamon which fades nicely into a warm pleasant finish of dark cherry, smooth oak, and butterscotch with a slight note of vanilla. Come enjoy what we believe is one of the most complex Bourbons we have ever produced.
The distillery will release the whiskey during a special tasting room event on Friday, August 4th from 4-7pm and Saturday, August 5th from 4-7pm. On Friday night we will be joined by Jesse Crock, El Jefe’s Smothered Brats and Tots Food Truck, So Good Bakeshoppe, Gold Mine Cupcakes and more! Jesse Crock will be at the distillery signing the limited-edition bottles and posters, and we will also have t-shirts, prints, hats, baked goods, a food truck, and more available for sale.
The Colorado Day Straight Bourbon Whiskey will be available for sale at the distillery only, for $79 a bottle. Come celebrate with us August 4th and 5th as we pay homage to Colorado, the 38th State.
